Pink Floyd’s Meddle ~ Classic Albums Live

Classic Albums Live presents:
Pink Floyd's Meddle
Phoenix Concert Theatre, Toronto
July 4, 2008
by Live Music Head

I'm having trouble finding words to describe this show.
All I keep coming up with is…
"f***ing brilliant!"
Rob Phillips delivered the scary voice in One of These Days,
and the Seamus dog was really good.
The drummer rocked,
and the sounds from the bald-headed acoustic player were lovely.
Mike Daley sharing vocals with Phillips was impressive,
and Fearless was beautiful.
The entire band was outstanding, really.
It must be a pleasure to play the music of Meddle,
especially when the musicians are real fans of the music.
And that's definitely the way it appeared on the stage.
A big surprise not to receive
the obvious Pink Floyd songs in the outros;
A surprise well received by me and most of the audience I think.
I'm not that familiar with the early Floyd,
so all the more reason I was happy to hear it.
Well done!
